Imperial Lighting Maintenance has been a family owned and operated business since its inception. Leon Mendelsohn founded the forerunner of the company in 1955, and his son, Cary, joined him in 1973 to open Imperial Lighting Maintenance Company. Today, Imperial benefits from its rich history, combined with the knowledge and expertise of the professional staff.
Leon Mendelsohn
President
Leon has been in the lighting business since 1955. In addition to founding Imperial Lighting Maintenance Company (and its predecessor), he has served as Vice President and Treasurer of the National Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO).
Cary Mendelsohn
Chief Executive
Cary helped found Imperial Lighting in 1973, and has remained extremely active in the lighting maintenance industry on a national scale. He sits on the Executive Committee of the National Lighting Bureau, and has served terms as Vice President and President of NALMCO.

Scott Mendelsohn
Director, Sales
Scott graduated from Indiana University in 2002 and immediately entered into the lighting maintenance industry. He now has over 8 years of experience with Imperial Lighting and has become an active member of many national lighting organizations. He has effectively managed some of the largest maintenance and retrofit projects over the past several years. His main focus is in a sales capacity, but he also works on training new employees and managing several of our key clients.
Todd Mendelsohn
Associate Director
Todd joined imperial lighting in January of 2009. Previously, he spent 4 years in internal management with an international corporate real estate advisory firm based in Chicago. Todd received his BA in Management from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 2005 and brings experience in growth planning, strategic hiring and operations management. Currently, he is focused on building and maintaining key client relationships and managing internal operations.
