Cary Mendelsohn, Imperial Lighting CEO, elected National Lighting Bureau Chair

The National Lighting Bureau (NLB) announced that Cary S. Mendelsohn, CLMC, CEO of Imperial Lighting, has been elected its new chair. The NLB is an independent, IRS-recognized not-for-profit, educational foundation that has served as a trusted lighting-information source since 1976. The Bureau provides its services to the public free of charge, thanks to the funding of the organization’s sponsors including professional societies, trade associations, labor unions, manufacturers, and agencies of the U.S. government. Mr. Mendelsohn has been an active member of the NLB for more than 20 years, and represents the interNational Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO) on the NLB board of directors.

In its announcement, the NLB notes that Mr. Mendelsohn has been extremely active in the lighting industry for more than four decades, having served on the NALMCO board of directors for eight years, including two years as the organization’s president. He earned his Certified Lighting Management Consultant (CLMC) designation through NALMCO and is a recipient of NALMCO’s Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Mendelsohn has also served on the IES Maintenance Committee since 1988.

Imperial Lighting congratulates Mr. Mendelsohn on his election to this distinguished and well-deserved position.
