Not only does upgraded lighting make your space look better and allow you to save money on energy use, but it can help employee safety and productivity. While lighting upgrade projects, particularly those that involve LED lamps or fixtures, can present with a larger up-front cost for labor and material, the payback resulting from the energy savings along with the extended life of these products often allows the project to pay for itself within a few years or less. Lighting upgrades that qualify for utility incentives can accelerate that payback period even more.

Typical cost areas for a lighting project include labor, material (either fixtures or lamps and ballasts/drivers), recycling, equipment if needed (such as scaffolding or lifts to reach higher fixtures), and electrical costs if work needs to be done involving relocating or adding lighting fixtures.

Following a comprehensive audit of a client’s space and a discussion with them to determine their lighting needs, the experts at Imperial Lighting draw up a proposal detailing the type of lighting solutions that are recommended, costs involved, potential utility incentive savings, and estimated projected energy savings and payback period. 

Once the proposal is approved by the customer, we will place the order for material and schedule our technician crews once the material is delivered. We will work with the customer to determine the best days and times for us to work in their space in order to minimize interruptions to employees and/or customers. Imperial Lighting has the ability to schedule our crews on second (late) or third (overnight) shifts as needed. 

We will also work with the customer to determine which areas to work in on a daily basis. When our professional crews are working in a customer’s space, they operate in a way that causes minimal disruption to daily operations, and will always keep worksites clean and safe. 

Upon project completion we will remove all old lamps and ballasts for recycling and safe disposal, take away any equipment and other trash, and ensure the space looks the same as when we entered at the start of the project — (only with a much brighter look thanks to the upgraded lighting!

Absolutely! Once you contact Imperial Lighting and provide more information about your facility and service needs, we will come out to audit the current lighting components and prepare a quote for the labor, material and equipment you need for the service. We’ll also determine whether your company would qualify for any potential energy-saving utility incentives and include that in our proposal.

It depends on what type of service our technicians are performing, how many fixtures are involved and what type of material is being installed, so a lighting upgrade project could take anywhere from 1-2 days to several weeks. Our operations team is able to coordinate the project to be completed in the most efficient way possible and with the least amount of disruption to normal business operations. We can perform project work during night shifts or early mornings as needed to avoid getting in the way of employees and customers.

Upon project completion we will work with the customer to secure the payment of utility incentives as applicable. We will also honor and address any issues related to warranties should any occur (such replacement of failed material within the warranty period).

Imperial Lighting can also set up a preventative maintenance program following a lighting installation or upgrade, where we schedule a service visit at a regular interval to make sure all lighting fixtures are continuing to operate properly and at their brightest. At each visit we will inspect the site, repair outages, and clean/adjust fixtures to ensure a facility continues to look its best long after the lighting project.

Yes – we handle some electrical projects outside lighting such as building automation controls systems and electric vehicle charger installation and maintenance.
